It feels so good to be back in the (writing and business) game. Not writing daily for a few days felt like something was off, like if I had forgotten to brush my teeth ;) However, it also gave me space to reflect: why do I write? I believe our goals and needs change. Sometimes we're not even aware that they do, so it's good to consciously stop, look back on the path we've walked so far and think about which one to go forward. Sometimes our goals don't change but it's good to be reminded of them and recharge another load of motivation.
I write because I want to make sense of my experiences. Writing helps me to connect my experiences with stuff I've read or heard or experienced before.
By writing I can build upon ideas in my head and see them more clearly.
On the one hand, I write to share what I learn along the way. Who knows, maybe somebody needs to hear exactly this, at the time when they find it, in the way I've written it.
On the other hand, the process of writing teaches me.
Plus, writing helps me to better accept my feelings, and just let them float.
And at the end of the day, writing just helps me to wrap up the day.
