Routine

Published on Jul 29, 2020

My days have changed significantly lately. First, we all stopped traveling to work. Now, I've quit my job and started Freelancing.

While I have written about my routine before, I thought I would revisit it. That's how we improve right?

My typical routine might have changed completely, but my goals appears to be roughly the same - more time with my family and self-improvement. It's nice to re-read some old words (only 8ish months) and feel consistent.

Over the last few days, I've been jotting down things I want to do every day. Some came to me immediately, others took a bit of time to realise. I'll probably add more to this over time, but here is that list so far:

  • Brush teeth
  • Floss
  • Mouth wash
  • Exercise
  • 10 press ups
  • 10 squats
  • 10 touch toes
  • Go outside
  • Walk
  • Podcast
  • Read - 1 chapter. At least 1 page
  • Time to self / Reflect - Meditate?
  • Time with Nay
  • Make £100

When you think about it, it's not a lot - but it's so so much at the same time.

Simple, small tasks that compound into achieving my goals - seeing my family and self-improvement. Reading, podcasts and reflection improve my knowledge and skills.

Making just £100 a day removes any financial worries - I don't need to work a "real job" if I do this. My time is free. I'll be available whenever I want.

Looking after myself through exercise means I'll be healthy and available to look after the ones I love.

All of this is free. Why haven't I been doing this for years?
