This post is Part 3 for "Coffee as a weekly theme" as my exercise to meet my epistemic curiosity. I would like to try to learn and gain something not shallow but cumulate and weave the knowledge over the week by writing a series of posts.

Today, I will research about nutrition and the impact of the coffee on health. Most people might know coffee could be the major source of caffeine. But what else? Let's see other factors and whether they are good or not.

Benefit of coffee

According to Harvard - Schooll of Public Health "Caffeinated or not, coffee linked with longer life",

People who drink up to eight cups of coffee per day may slightly lower their risk of early death compared with non-drinkers, according to a large new study.

This new study is published in 2018 August, which is still relatively new. In this website, called "13 Health Benefits of Coffee, Based on Science", they referred to older studies from 1996 to 2008. Since within the past 1 or 2 decades, there is a lot of advancement. I would believe a more recent one.

Side effects of coffee

When I was diagnosed to have Seborrheic dermatitis, which produced a lot of dandruff on my head skin, I was recommended to stop any stimulus like coffee, hot spice and take more sleep. Thanks to medication, I could manage the itchiness. On that time, I drunk 4 or 5 cups of coffee with milk. I was not sure coffee was one of the trigger or not. According to this website, coffee could be allergens and trigger Seborrheic.

In addition, this article "CAFFEINE: IS YOUR MORNING ESPRESSO CAUSING DANDRUFF?" said caffeine has a clear impact on our skin by expelling water from our skin.

As for dehydration, my wife kept saying cups of coffee cannot count as a cups of water. Instead, I need to drink one more cup of coffee while drinking a cup of coffee.

mmm, running out of the time today...
