A habit of creating every day is one of the most efficient ways to fight perfectionism. One of such habits could be writing 200 words a day. Building such habit allows you to flex your creative muscle and improve your cognitive skills just by spending 20 minutes per day!

Ship every day.

However, much more importantly this gives you a daily dose of non-perfectionist creation. There is simply no place for perfectionism in this short ritual! The most time you could spend creating your daily masterpiece is 24 hours... And you also need to sleep, eat and do other things. This leaves you with the maximum of two hours to create something. But it turns out sometimes it's enough to make something very good!

It takes a lot of dedication and commitment, but the end result should be amazing. Well, if there will be the end... For example, Beeple have been creating pictures with 3D and 2D graphics for the past TEN YEARS! Could you imagine that? He didn't skip a single day and shipped every single day for entire decade. And now look at his works. Aren't they amazing? At the same time he doesn't consider them perfect. They are only as perfect as he can make them in an hour. And he even says his skills are not very good compared to other artists. But he is amazingly successful nevertheless!

Imagine yourself doing something you want to be better at for ten years starting right now. What will you be able to achieve?

@zyumbik: absolutely agree with shipping a "micro masterwork" DAILY. This is my fifth year posting a daily sticky note at www.bigyellowsticky.com and this year I added a daily podcast to the mix.The trick is to not let the time you spend on a daily project act as an excuse for producing larger and deeper works!
