Became lazy in interacting in 200wordsaday

Current day streak: 0🐣
Total posts: 132💌
Total words: 52152 (208 pages 📄)

For some unknown reasons, I noticed in 200wordsaday.com I no longer comment much on the posts that I've read. At the start, I was happy when I'm commenting on some of the posts that interest me or somehow I could relate to.

I like the feeling when there are some notifications in your profile. Honestly, it was pretty addictive to see what people are saying in your post.

Though no one really said that we must comment. Just a random thing to cheer people on their masterpiece.

Maybe because I start to visit this site at night when I no longer much energy.

It's really weird when you are basing your actions base on your emotions. As we all know that emotion always comes and go.

Sometimes I've read some interesting post when I'm about to type something in the comment. For some unknown reasons, I don't send it. I dunno why.

Maybe the perfectionist side of me starts to kick again who and saying. It tries to censor my self from replying and just move on to the next article.

I will try to get back again to what usually doing before.

This is just something that I notice to myself.

@chrisdeuda you're bound to feel lazy especially when you've been doing it for a while now. But just like relationship, you don't simply wait for spark to go back, you have to make an effort to create it again. So, just go write feedbacks. Don't think about it. Hit that comment button please. :P

@chrisdeuda I have joined in 200wad less than a month, and at the first week, I was confused because I received no feedback and I left no comment either. I wrote but not felt involved. It's the way I usually do in any community. Not until one day I found six notifications in my list I began realizing that there is a place people write and communicate about what they write. Your words reminds me again. Thank you for you have said I found is hard to talk about.

@shire you are most welcome :) . Yeah the community is one of the reasons why I keep coming back here even though sometimes I have nothing to write about( I mostly write about no idea what to write. haha )

@chrisdeuda I hit this lazy feeling right around 50-60 day streak too. Not sure if it's similar... but I just wonder if there's a natural peak and valley in terms of engagement...like we may be excited and keep commenting and writing for the first 1-2 months, but perhaps after that the excitement tapers off...?

@chrisdeuda @jasonleow As long as the interesting content is still there, I will comment on it. I haven't felt my engagement level drop off, but I'm also an oddball in certain ways. Jason, maybe you can just break your streak and see if that pulls you out of the doldrums ;)

@brandonwilson yeah I'd been thinking of breaking it intentionally. Not sure when yet...but one day, eventually. And also wanting to run this slump to its natural end and see what I can learn from it. Already it's giving me so much unexpected rewards, so I'm quite happy continuing with it even though it's a slump

@jasonleow yeah, it seems it's natural since I've experienced it. The kind of feeling when you've been lifting the same weights and your muscles get so much used to it. In order for it to be exciting again is to add more weights. Not sure how to do it in writing. Gamification comes to my mind.
