Apparently "daytripping to Cape Cod" was "probably the most bougie thing I've ever heard you say," according to my partner.

But I'm happy to have made the road trip, seeing as my association with Cape Cod is no longer a bag of kettle chips, but of delicious lobster rolls, breathtaking beaches, and fishing. Sesuit Harbor Cafe, described in the "Along Route 6A" circulator as Boston's best lobster rolls, certainly did not disappoint.

I traveled with a caravan of friends as we made our way along a combination of both Route 6 and 6A all the way from Sandwich, where we visited the Cape Cod Canal to see fishermen and cargo ships, to the tip, where Provincetown and Race Point Lighthouse are. It's serendipitous that we arrived to P-town at the beginning of Pride Week, as its Commercial Street was a lovely stroll replete with shops with gay kitschy goods and restaurants. We also biked through the sand dunes and explored Race Point Beach. Sadly, there were a lot of sites that we've neglected to visit because we were short on time. (Thankfully, we didn't do Newport in addition to Cape Cod, which was the original plan because I neglected to realize that Cape Cod was an entire strip of land to the tip, rather than just a town.)

haha you made me want to go to Cape Cod again. I like the idea of it being kind of a time-capsule sanctuary for a past-america. The Kennedy era. The horizontally-striped outfit with glass bottles of CocaCola era.

As Brandon commented earlier. Hope you're getting your fill of seafood.

@abrahamKim yes, that's a great way to describe the feeling. Also, just Googled it and found out that the Kennedy compound of 6-acres is certainly on cape cod!
