Rather than reading another book in the same category from the same author that you have for the last few years, pick up something new that you've been been curious about. Sometimes there might not be a direct, obvious connection. But do it anyway. The world is connected in many non-obvious ways.
We live in an interesting time in human history. Nearly every piece of information ever created is freely available online. If you want to learn something new, you can simply read about it from the best teachers that have ever done it. That is an incredible opportunity when you take a second to think about it – and it is often taken for granted.
I think oftentimes people get stuck in a rut of slow improvement on comfortable topics rather than trying something new. But that feeling of being unsure is exactly where growth is hiding. And to get to the land of exponential growth it is important to feel uncomfortable over and over again.
