This Sunday my wife and I will be flying to our Caribbean vacation in Tulum, Mexico. We’ll be there for 5 nights, so that will make 6 days that I have to post if I don’t wanna break my streak. I don’t know I have it in me.

Just as I’m doing right now, I imagine I’ll end up typing them out on my phone. I’ll be bringing my iPad and Bluetooth keyboard/case but that’s not quite as convenient to use poolside.

We opted for an all-inclusive resort so I’ll be taking advantage of the unlimited alcohol (and food), which means I’ll likely forget to post on one of the days. That begs the question: should I even bother trying?

I don’t know. I’d hate to lose my streak but the idea of unplugging for 5 days sounds mighty nice. No work, no emails, no Slack, no US politics. No writing?

We’ll see.

Maybe I can spend some time on my flights to bang out some posts, or at least parts of posts. I’ve got a lot of ideas rumbling around my head. If I’m feeling motivated I just might try to “pen to paper”, or fingers to keyboard.

Or, I’ll do something that feels less like work :)

@nicksimard I understand the urge to unplug during vacation and the urge to keep the streak going. I will be curious to see what you ultimately choose.
