If you are really into crypto, you have Telegram. It's that simple.

What's unknown to others, however, is that Telegram is not only for cryptochats, secret chats, cool stickers, and chat and theme customization.

On Telegram, you can build your music collection and listen to it right in the app offline or online without ads. You can even share them with your contacts on Telegram. You can finally ditch your default music app or music services such as Spotify and Deezer.

This will absolutely suit you better if you:

➡do not like paying for music

➡want to listen to songs offline without upgrading your account

➡do not want to install another app just to listen to music

How to?

1. Open your Telegram app first, obviously.

2. Type vkmusic_bot in the search icon, or you can even try it inline, just type @vkmusic_bot name of the song

3. Click on the vkmusic result.

4. Type: /artist name of the artist or /song name of the song and send it to the bot.

Example: /song like you lots. If you want to filter it even further: /song like you lots lany (Lany is the artist) or /artist lany

5. The bot will give you the song you searched for if it has it. (A couple of songs such as the unpopular ones will not be available immediately. Don't despair! Most songs are available.)

What else can you do with the vkmusic_bot?

This is a great way to contribute. Chances are, some of the songs you already have in your other music service are not yet available in the bot. You can help make it available to everyone by uploading them.

What are the cons?

You have to remember that this is a free music playlist/download service, so expect to encounter some of the following not-that-so-big-of-a-cons:

➡some songs might not be available

➡you can't create folders for your music

That's it. In fact, some songs you want to listen to are not also available yet on Spotify, Deezer, or Soundcloud.

Want to learn another trick to complement with your listening experience on Telegram?

Type "iLyricsbot" on the searchbar, start the bot, and type the name of the song you want to know the lyrics. Ta-da! The bot will then give you the song lyrics.

Final Thoughts

There is no doubt that Telegram can surpass Messenger, Whatsapp, and Slack when it comes to its wide array of features. I really feel sorry for those who do not know this messaging app. I think they're missing out.

And while we are at this music topic, here are my recommended songs:

➡Cold by Neffex

➡Hope by Neffex

➡Thick and thin by Lany

➡Run by Lany

➡Astronaut by Simple Plan

➡Connection by One Republic

All right, let the music on.

@yaki nice! Tried it and it works! Curious about security though...because we're downloading unknown files into the phone...

@jasonleow they are not unknown files. :D Part of the Telegram updates is to also provide album cover/photo for songs. As you can see, the songs have album cover.

@yaki I see thanks for clarifying. I tried using it today but error message said "this bot is unavailable due to copyright infringement"! ? Is yours still working? Wondering if it's blocked on provider side...

@jasonleow try this one: @vkm_bot (alternative of @vkmusic_bot)

That is odd. It never got blocked on my end. And also, have you tried using it inline? For example, inside the chat (to make sure it's really blocked or not), type @vkmusic_bot song (you can put any song) then if it loads up the song you want, it's not blocked. Are you also using vpn?

@yaki I'm in Singapore so not surprised if such potentially IP-infringing grey area services are blocked. It's blocked for sure, I can't even find it on global search now. Not even vkm_bot. Perhaps using vpn would help...
