I meet with my mentor to talk about what I am thinking of. One day I talked about wriring this and technical blog.
He asked me "do you have fun for writing?"
I was mumbling and hesitated to say "yes" as well as "no."
After a half second, I started to formulate what I thought of writing.
I said "I do not think I am good at wiring. But I know it is important of me and would like to get better at it. At the same time, I continued to write for 200 days in a writing community (=200Wad) and 98 days for a technical blog. This means I am getting to like it. Typically, I judge whether I like an activity or not based on continuation. Especially nobody told me, no strong incentive exists, but if I continued, it meas I like it."
After that mentering session, I am still wondering whether I like writing or not, and what I like about.
Here are what I like writing about:
- Trace: I can see my thoughts in a non-volatility way. I recognize how much I forget by looking back my writing. It also seems the time to talk to myself when I read my writing.
- Open the door: since I am always in a mode to find some topics to write, I tend to be more open to anything. Also, my brain seems to FIFO (First In First Out) so if I output something, I feel like I can take input more :)
- Progress: I can see some progress by not only words and # of posts but also my sensitivity on writing or tolerance of revising. I gradually accept revising the sentence I wrote.
