It was supposed to be about grief (i think it just IS grief).

So... omnipotence and arrogance. Vast shadows hanging above. So powerful. So destructive. So self righteous. Where do they come from? Is it the culture which ignores limitations. Laughs at them. Smirks at them. Despises them. Denies them!

Omnipotence, latin Omni Potens: "all power". That is how we start our lives, feeling omnipotent. Everything is us. If everything is us, there are NO LIMITS. The mother is us, our extension. We are hungry and milk appears. A need materialising.

But "the child realises its dependence". This means limitations.

And yet, is seems our whole lives we deny them at all costs. But there is a part of us (The interconnected? The cosmic?) which wants us to grow, to see the truth, and does everything to make us realise what we really are. Brings tiredness, pain, exhaustion, disease... And yet we still run away with our eyes closed, screaming: Noooooo! I can do it! I am strong! I will conquer this wretched weakness!

Isn't weakness what makes us human? Isn't weakness THE lesson?

Well, some fight so well to prove the universe wrong, that death must come and show them that they WILL NOT WIN.

So... who wins???

      @philh kinda no... it's not (just) personal, it is general, it is about the civilisation, our culture, I suppose you have an opinion... well...

    @lucjah "Isn't weakness THE lesson?"

    "There is a crack in everything
    "That's how the light gets in"

    @lucjah nice! you've actually inspired mine.

    On the other hand, it is wonderful the resilient spirit of a human. However sh** they can come, and things they can do: somewhere, somehow, with its three-pound brain (and actually not fully activated), overcome something we all thought to be impossible.

    We break impossible every day :)
