Growing up in a rural area of my country, I never thought that one day I would feel the need to subscribe to newspapers to get the daily updates of whatever I was interested in. I thought it was just meaningless to pay somewhere to get the news when you could easily google it or just watch TV. But now, my perspective on paying for the newspapers is totally different than one that I had before. I still believe that it is not necessary to pay for reading causal news. But if you want to get all the news & updates live, on time, then there is no other option but paying for the service. Before getting involved in Finance, I did read all the news by just googling them but later, I subscribed to WSJ to get all the news on time. As a student, I find it expensive to pay (about) 30 bucks a month, but it is the only affordable option for me compared to others. Sadly, our university does not have access to Bloomberg or Reuters; so there is no other way but subscribe to one of the news outlets by myself. I hope this investment of my money and time will pay off one day in the future. Even if it will not, I will be still happy to get all the news on time.
