Prying my brain and body from sleep and pealing myself off the floor of the children's room just now was very, very difficult.
My day started at 6 am, I hit the button on the coffee and checked email and Slack. Had a cup while I got my bike ready. Kitted up. Met a friend at the designated location at 7 am. Rode until 8 am.
Did some office and house todos. Had more coffee. Threw a load of cycling clothes in the wash. More moments with the emails and Slack. Trimmed the beard. Showered. Hung up the cycling clothes to dry. Some kind of quantum time event occurred and it was 10 am.
Drove to work. A relatively meeting-free day but a ton of todos to crank through. Crank on todos until 1 pm. Go downstairs for lunch. Run into a non-work friend and have a nice, unhurried lunch in the lobby with him.
2 pm meeting. It goes well. 3:30 pm call. It goes well. Crank on more todos until 7 pm. Drive to a non-work meeting. Get gas on the way. Meeting from 7:30 to 8:30 pm. Drive home. Eat dinner. Play Tetris with my wife. Put the kids to bed. Watch some videos. Fall asleep. Barely wake up to write 200 words before midnight. A few more emails to address before bed. A 9 am meeting awaits tomorrow. Then 10 am, 11 am, 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm, and 4 pm meetings. Not looking forward to tomorrow. No fewer todos await, but they will have to wait until 5-6:30 pm, and then I have another non-work meeting, and then, Friday. Another 7 am bike ride.
This is my life.
I have to remember I signed up for this.
