You would have early access to computers.
It's a privilege, see it that way. Don' let your 1998/99 access to a PC running Windows 95 just be about playing Daytona USA.
Learn to ask why things work.
If you do, you wouldn't have to wait till 2009 before you picked your first programming book.
You'd also have early access to the internet. Use it well. I know you won't spend hours in Yahoo Messenger Chat Rooms (20's Love, Moonlight Bay etc) like others, but you shouldn't even go near those rooms you're too young for that. But then whoever says the truth when asked "asl" back in the days?.
I know you're currently in love with E.A Sports but Seun you really need to find something else doing. There's no point holding the record as someone who has played FIFA 98 through FIFA 2002 yet has no idea about HTML. It shows misplaced priorities.
You can do better.
But then, it seems all those games (FIFA, NBA Live, Doom, Tomb Raider, The Mummy etc), spending so much time on games would make you love computers. You would be seen as a "local computer guru".
Enjoy it while it lasts.
It's a nice feeling.
Don't stop being around computers either Pentium II or I. In the future you'll graduate with a BSc in Entrepreneurship, but your career would be as a Software Developer.
You would love it because programming gives you the power to build.
Seun don't run from Mathematics.
It's pointless. You'd never actually escape it.
You know you should be in Science Class in Senior Secondary School if you hadn't allowed the fear of Math and Physics.
I know you feel comfortable with English, Government, Commerce and all that. But even if you were gonna change route midway into resuming SSS 1, it shouldn't be for the fear Math.
Math would help you. It would help in programming also.
Seun please see this now.
If you heed my advice this lesson wouldn't hit you late.
We never really escape anything in life.
It will surely find you.
To be continued...
