a remark or statement, especially one with a moral content, that has been used too often to be interesting or thoughtful.

I'm having a hard time connecting with my feelings when writing.

Reading the words of others, I can sense what they're up to and empathize and use distance to gain perspective. I'm not responsible for what happens in their writing. I leave my control tools in the box.

Writing is different. I'm the mind-out-in-the-open with my words showing for all the world to see. Are they too small? Can I make up for it with longer sentences or maybe an exclamation or two?

Trying to feel anything while I type requires me to breathe and see if I feel anything. I have to tune in. Sounds dumb when I read it back to myself.

I breathe again.

Now I'm thinking of @jasonleow and his meditation practice.

Is writing a way to force myself to breathe?

Editing is for sure.

Re-writing also forces a pause and reflection. @lucjah knows about that.

Do famous writers breathe? Intentionally or habitually? Hmmm.. more dumb questions. Saxophonists breathe skillfully.

At least I'm breathing a little.

Don't pick your title before you write.

Thank you for the mention, even though I expect this is a result of the 20 notifications, hence... I am not sure if I should take this:
<<Re-writing also forces a pause and reflection. @lucjah knows about that.>>
as a compliment? I have that rule, to take everything as a compliment, unless, obviously, it isn't, but... a bit lost here... haha!
