Before they head downtown to work, they get up and get dressed. I've done it. I didn't mind. It requires at least a couple of hours more of maintenance each week. The clothes alone are a lot. Then, there's the food. Some people spend an extra $10 - $15 / day. That's $200 / $300 per month. That's a lot.

And the office.

You have to show up at the office every day. See the same people. For what? You can't head out of town if you want and go work in Thailand. Have you been to Thailand -- it's going to be harder to get work done there - so plan on being super focused.

On the same day, there are plenty of opportunities for people who are happy to work from home. I built one business 100% from home. I had a collaborator in India. I worked my day, he worked his. He coded. I sent cold email and chatted people up. All day. I didn't dress up.

I don't have big muscles, fancy hair or taste in clothes. I have skills to make something happen -- is that enough?

Essentially, we're doing work. Some dress up and look great. Some don't.

People who ship have a system; a habit; a routine.

Ship something. Say something. That's it. Get feedback. Don't be embarrassed. If they laugh at you -- fuck'em. Ship even more.

@brianball I love how you ended the post.

"If they laugh at you -- fuck'em. Ship even more."

Yes, if they laugh at you, just keep shipping, in the end, you'll be the one who benefit from this
