Should you outsource?

For my first business endeavor, I wanted to do it all.
Copy... and many other little things.

I would spend hours on each task and come up with something I feel is spectacular.

Spectacular - I decided was a direct factor of how many hours I spent on said task.

Predictably I got burnt out. The never-ending list of things to do got to me.
Fortunately I discovered the art of outsourcing.

I hired someone to create a logo.
I encountered a few fake designers and wondered if this outsourcing thing is worth it.
Then I went back and rewrote what I needed.

Once I got better at identifying what I wanted, the results I got took my breath away. I cursed myself for killing hours at things I had no business doing.

Ever since then, I first create a list of what I need to do, identify what is time sensitive and what needs a team of experts.

Then I create a document describing exactly what I am looking for.
Next hire an expert.

I am at that phase for the Kickstarter.
The one that is going to be the most successfully funded campaign ever

Stay tuned.

@keni Exciting! Your discussion about outsourcing reminds me of a tool I learned about in my Knowledge Business Blueprint. Perhaps I will write about it in a future post.
