It's hard to get started. Nothing new there. But it's not the only part doing things, maybe not even the hardest.

Once you have started there is still the actual doing of the thing. You need to work for it until it's done, or at least you have got something done so its easy to continue later. You can't just give up even if you encounter blockers. You need to identify them and either resolve them or get around them. Maybe you can return to those issues later.

But what I find the hardest part is to stop doing something. I might lose myself doing things and completely miss the passage of time. All the other things are left undone. Or at least postponed to the last chance. I get annoyed of interruptions. There is nothing more for me until I am done.

It's hard to break out from that flow. Once you have gotten it started you don't even realize it. Unlike when you are avoiding to start something you very well know what's going on. But not when you are carried away with the task at hand.

It's important to know how to start. But it's as important to know when to stop, take a break and take care of other pending tasks before continuing. There is plenty of time and once I get started again I can easily catch the flow once more.
