I always keep this graph in mind when I take on new things at work or side projects.
When I do feel like I am stressing about things I do two things to find my zone.
First is to check when the projects are due and reprioritize the order of working on them. Second is to see if I can get help on the projects to work on them a bit faster.
Here is what happens when I am at either end of the spectrum:
When there is too much to do I lose sleep, I eat more junk food, I don't hang out with many friends, I go to the gym less, I don't call my family and I am angry at the world.
When there is too little to do I end up watching unnecessary videos/movies, think too much about everything I am doing, mindless scroll on social media increases, and read too much about celebrity backgrounds
That is why I try to find the perfect zone whenever I can. But, going to either end is helpful to repriotrize how I a projects that I am working on.
