Neville Medhora builds useful, funny, and definitely weird little tools for everyone to use on the internet.
A recent one is the Death Calculator.
You can enter a date on which you want to die, let's say 15th January 2079. That's when I would turn 90. (My grandpa is turning 90 this year, so I think I have a chance for pulling this off.)
The tool then shows me that I have exactly 60 years, 6 months, and 3 days left.
Basically, you could say that I'm a third done with my life at this point. That's crazy when I think about it!
Especially, since I can't even remember most of the first half of this third. Childhood just rushes by.
What's the purpose of having an expiry date for yourself in mind?
It reminds us that we have to make the most out of this one life that we got. I feel that I'm finally now in a place where I'm living more intentionally and try to actively create as many memories as possible. I think I'm getting closer every day to creating the life I want for myself.
I'm excited what the next third of my life will bring.
Btw, Neville wants to skydive into an active volcano as soon as he reaches his chosen death date. Pretty badass way to die!
