Is LTC the little brother of BTC?

Bitcoin is undoubtedly one of the best known crypto currencies. So it may surprise you that Litecoin was introduced over 5 years ago. In this article we take a closer look at what Litecoin actually is and what it has to offer compared to Bitcoin. Basic questions are clarified: How does Litecoin work? How are new Litecoins generated? What is Litecoin’s position in the crypto currency market?

Let’s start with the basic question: What is Litecoin?

Litecoin is a peer-to-peer crypto currency. It is an open source software project released under the MIT/X11 license.

Litecoin is similar to Bitcoin in many ways, as it is also a digital currency and a digital payment system. Litecoin encryption is used for two primary purposes:

  • To regulate the generation of Litecoin units;
  • To verify the transfer of funds and secure transactions.

Although Litecoin and Bitcoin are very similar, there are also some important differences between the two crypto currencies.

What is the difference between Litecoin and Bitcoin?

Some traders describe the relationship between the two currencies in such a way that if you were to consider Bitcoin as the equivalent of gold, Litecoin would be comparable to silver. In fact, this comparison is exactly what the developers of Litecoin had in mind when they created the crypto currency.

The main differences between the two currencies are:

  • Litecoin offers faster payment confirmation: The Litecoin network aims to process a block every 2.5 minutes, whereas Bitcoin does this only every 10 minutes.
  • Litecoin uses a different hashtag algorithm: Litecoin uses Scrypt in its Proof of Work algorithm, which was specially developed to make brute force attacks with specialized hardware more difficult.
  • The Litecoin network will generate more “coins”: Litecoin will generate 84 million coins, aiming to bring four times as many digital “coins” into circulation as Bitcoin.
  • Both coins are very popular amongst Crypto Traders. If you want to get started you nee to educate yourself first, cryptocurrency trading book is a good start.

In summary, Litecoin can handle larger amounts of transactions, making execution bottlenecks less frequent than Bitcoin. Below you will find a brief summary of the key figures for both currencies. What is the abbreviation for Litecoin? The abbreviation for Litecoin is LTC. The same principle as for USD and EUR is used when Litecoin is paired with other currencies. Litecoin vs. US Dollar then becomes LTC/USD for example. If you didn’t know it yet, you can also deposit LTC to a few bitcoin casinos, check out the list here: BitcoinDiceGames.com/en/deposits/litecoin/.

How does Litecoin work?

Litecoin is an online network that can be used to carry out money transfers between two parties. It operates according to the peer-to-peer principle and is decentralised, which means that it cannot be controlled by a single authority or government.

This payment system does not use physical currencies such as dollars or euros, it uses its own currency, which is also called Litecoin (symbol: Ł or LTC). Therefore Litecoin is often classified as virtual or digital currency. Litecoins can be purchased with “traditional” currency and can also be used to pay for traditional currencies, goods or services.

What is Blockchain technology?

Litecoin is based on blockchain technology, just like Bitcoin. However, according to Bitcoin, the network is able to “handle higher trading volumes than Bitcoin”. Through Litecoin’s higher frequency in generating blocks, the network supports more transactions and provides faster payment confirmation.

What is “Mining”?

New Litecoins are generated regularly. This process of generating new coins is called “mining”, and in the end is simply a register keeping process.

Litecoin ensures that there is only one block chain by making its blocks relatively complex. Instead of simply producing any block, prospective customers must create a cryptographic hash of the block that meets very specific requirements – the only way to get one is to calculate many possible hashes until one meets those requirements.

This process is called hashing. The miner who successfully creates a block with the correct hash is rewarded with 25 litecoins.

Every few days the sharpness of the mentioned criteria is adjusted, depending on how many blocks are currently created – more competition increases the amount of work to create a suitable block.

Can cryptocurrency still be mined at home? Read more at this webpage.

Where does Litecoin come from?

The growth of the available Litecoin stock is decentralized and is managed by the Litecoin protocol, which assigns the generation of new coins to the participants.

The maximum number of litecoins that can exist is 84 million, but not all of them have been generated so far. At the moment there are about 51.7 million litecoins in circulation, i.e. about 61.6% of the planned total amount.

As soon as 11.3 million more coins are generated from now on (as of June 2017), the reward for a generated block will decrease from 25 to 12.5 coins. It is expected that this figure will be reached in August 2019.

Who invented Litecoin?

It is assumed that Litecoin was originally released via an open source client on GitHub by Charlie Lee, a former Google employee, on October 7, 2011. It was a spin-off of the Bitcoin client application, mainly characterized by faster block generation, a higher total amount of coins, a modified hashing algorithm and a modified user interface.

When was Litecoin created?

Although Litecoin was released in October 2011, its financial history does not begin until November 2013. Originally, version 0.8.5.1 was released, which brought Litecoin a massive price increase over a very short period of time. At the beginning of December 2013 a new, improved version was launched, which reduced the transaction fees by a factor of 20 and increased the security and performance of the client and the network.

Should I try to mine Litecoin?

In our opinion it can be more profitable to trade Litecoin than to participate in the generation. With our enhanced MT4 trading software and the free MT4 Supreme Edition extension, there is no cost to you where acquiring so-called ASICs hardware for data mining purposes is significantly more expensive – and not necessarily profitable. If you decide to mine Litecoin, you should at least be aware of the following risks:

  • Exponential network requirements: With more and faster competition in the mining network, your profitability is not guaranteed to be sustainable. You need to consider how much you want to invest in hardware and how long it will remain competitive.
  • Potentially low sales value: ASIC hardware can mine Litecoins very efficiently because it is explicitly designed for this purpose – which means it has no other uses. You can’t use it for anything else, so a subsequent resale of the hardware wouldn’t be very profitable.
  • Delay in delivery: Mining hardware is often delivered months later, which makes production defects extremely risky. The hardware can also be outdated by this time.
Electricity consumption: Ideally, the electricity bill should cost less than the ASIC hardware brings in in profit.

Hockey Crypto Sports Betting

Which betting provider has the best ice hockey betting offer? In this section you will find the current ranking of the best betting providers in the field of ice hockey betting. While football is the undisputed number 1 in sports betting, regardless of the season, the turnover figures of the betting providers show that ice hockey is already in second place on the popularity scale in the winter months.

Especially when the Bundesliga and the Champions League pause over Christmas and New Year, the interest in betting on ice hockey games rises significantly – and the stakes on ice hockey bets skyrocket.

Our research in this regard has shown that many bookmakers generate up to 25% of their sales with bets on ice hockey in the months of December and January.

Ice Hockey Puck Sportsbook TestIn view of this, it is all too logical and self-evident that betting providers have focused more and more on playing with the puck in recent years and have successively expanded and expanded the range of bets on offer.

Reason enough for the test editorial staff of sportwettentest.net to deal intensively with the bookmakers’ ice hockey betting offers and to process the findings in this ranking and the detailed test reports. You can find great crypto betting companies offering you to bet on hockey with BTC and on many other sports events, the linked site compares all market leaders.

This is how the ice hockey bets were tested:

When evaluating the ice hockey betting offers, we applied the usual test criteria: In addition to the scope of the corresponding betting programs in width and depth, these naturally also concern the betting odds and the range of live bets.

By the width of the offer we mean how many different countries and leagues from the world of ice hockey are in the betting offer of the respective bookies. The depth of the offer, on the other hand, refers to the selection of different betting options per ice hockey match.

  • The more different countries and leagues a betting provider has in its programme, and the more different special bets and special bets there are for each ice hockey game, the more points can be achieved in this test category.
  • A further important criterion for the evaluation of the individual offers is, of course, the respective odds.
  • And because live betting is also playing an increasingly important role in ice hockey, these must not be missing from the evaluation. Again, the more width and depth there is in the betting program and the higher the odds are, the better the evaluation was.
  • The test reports and evaluations are rounded off by bonus points that are awarded for specials. These include, for example, the options for long-term bets, which were only available from a few providers.
  • Or additional offers such as live streams, infotools, statistics or other aids.

The ice hockey betting program in depth

The selection of leagues and games in ice hockey among the top betting providers is huge. But how does it look in depth – with special and special bets on the respective games on offer?

icon-gluehbirneDie are indispensable in this sport, which is so fast and in which a lot can happen in a few seconds. That’s why those bookies who made it to the top places in the ice hockey betting test don’t let themselves be lumped in this respect.

First and foremost test winner Bet365 plays a big role here.

The British model bookmaker offers a wealth of additional bets on games from the most important leagues in the world, such as the NHL, KHL or SHL – in most cases around 30.

Examples

  • Handicap bet
  • winning edge
  • Team that scores first wins.
  • Time 1. goal
  • Third with the most goals
  • First team with three goals
  • team scoring the last goal

The Ice Hockey Odds

In terms of quantity, i.e. width and depth, the betting providers were usually able to convince – a broad spectrum is offered to ice hockey fans. Be it with a large selection of leagues and games or with many different betting options.

But what about the quality of this offer, more precisely the odds. These are not exactly unimportant for friends of ice hockey betting. This quality can best be determined using the odds key.

Automatic Trading Systems – Do They Work?

Automatic trading systems are becoming increasingly popular in trading. But what about the success of Expert Advisore and Co. In this article we will explain it.

Automatic trading systems are often ambiguously discussed. One group argues against the use, because this kind of action is far too inflexible. Others think it is the only true solution to earn money on the stock market. In addition, there is another group that sells and offers trading strategies, but only earns money through them and not through the trades of the trading systems.

Definition Of Automatic Trading Systems

An automated trading system is a set of rules that automatically creates, manages and terminates trades with a broker. This can be intraday, i.e. on the same day, or, a few days later, through so-called swing trading systems.

I like to differentiate between full and partial automation. The former results from the introductory description. The user uses a part of a software, e.g. an Expert Advisor at MetaTrader or a script at NinjaTrader. These platforms are used to start the systems and execute trades. The chart is ticking and you can see the individual trades in real time and follow them. If there is a maintenance interval at the data provider or if you want to restart the computer or the platform, the trading strategy is stopped. After restarting, this process starts again.

Semi-automated trading strategies are mainly used in the end-of-day area. To do this, you start the system manually and receive trading instructions that are not executed automatically. The entry or exit orders serve as a signal, which is to be deposited manually with the broker. Once a day, before the market opens, this process will usually take place. For week-based systems, only once a week. Despite the partial automation, the same trading and backtesting software can be used, which is also used for full automation. Only the system type is different.

In my opinion, both types of trading strategies have their reason for being. Depending on the trading approach, it must be decided whether full automation is necessary at all, because this involves further tasks.

Switch On, Earn Money, Lean Back

Unfortunately, it’s not that easy, or else everyone would do it. Each trader has different experiences, different temporal conceptions of the acting and also usually a different capital equipment. This means that not everyone can use the same trading strategy, even if it would make money successfully. The process of finding a suitable trading strategy can therefore take a very long time.

Once a suitable strategy has been found, brokers and data feed providers must be connected and, if necessary, a server must be rented on the Internet. Check out this article about rentable VPS suitable for Forex traders which is a helpful page for that purpose. Who wants to run an automatic trading strategy on their laptop or computer from home when they are on the road? Besides the Internet connection, the data feed can also cause problems, the computer itself can break down (e.g. the hard disk), the trading software can no longer function and many other problems can arise. Against some of these incidents, which all cost money, a rented server in the net can provide remedy. Against other items from the list, you have to develop a plan yourself.

I would like to point out here that you have to manage every trading system. While programming errors or changes to the code are the fault of yourself, you should not ignore other technical conditions. After all, who would want the electricity to be out of the house at the next big profit of all things? A server on the Internet and management of the systems should therefore be a basic requirement for using an automatic trading strategy.

I try as often as possible to view and maintain my strategies on the rented server. I pay particular attention to whether the data feed is still active and the trades have been executed correctly. You should only intervene in extreme situations. But a simple connection to the server usually helps to see if everything works. This can also be done via mobile phone or tablet while on the move.

3 Ways Of Thinking About The Use Of Automatic Trading Strategies

As described above, I would like to briefly reiterate the different views of automatic trading systems. The advantage of this type of system is certainly its simple and uncomplicated use, as no feelings or emotions are involved. The system acts according to specially programmed rules, no more and no less. Unless you look at the chart every minute and frequently switch the system on and off, you only have a look at the final daily result. This should be compared exactly with the back test results in order to be able to detect differences in the course execution or even errors at an early stage.

On the other hand, the greatest disadvantage must certainly be assumed to be the inflexibility of trading systems. The rigid rules are often too rigid to adapt to new market conditions. As a result, many systems will no longer function after some time. This can be seen from the high drawdown, often much higher than in the back test or very many loss trades in succession, which in turn exceeds the number of loss trades in the previous test. To prevent this, you can reconfigure the parameters at times, or alternatively test the trading system back to many market phases in the past.

However, it is impossible to say exactly how long automation will continue to produce good results. And also you have to think for yourself too, things like hyperinflation must be considered. At this website is a good explanation how fear affects the crypto market.

To take a brief look at the third group of system considerations, it is best to imagine an equity curve from the bottom left, to the top right, without major setbacks, i.e. without any noteworthy drawdown. This system logic is often found on the Internet and is often regarded as the Holy Grail, which, in my view, does not exist. Often it was optimized too much, on historical data or there are 90% profit trades and only a few very big losers. Sooner or later, this type of system will collapse and destroy money. Unfortunately, this is often also clear to system developers, who nevertheless try to sell their strategies.

In the group of views, I usually try to find myself in the middle of the views. Of course, my equity curve should also look beautiful and profitable, but other components are more important. I like to test back over longer periods of time, which can sometimes be 20 years. With intraday approaches, 2008 often reaches me to the big crash. This way I try to trick the flexibility a little, because as many market phases as possible should be included in the back test.

Nevertheless, it is not easy to act according to a rigid set of rules, so that I often had to switch off systems myself because they were too strongly optimized and only generated losses. The use of fully or semi-automated trading strategies is more difficult than many people think. Unfortunately, the fairy tale of fast money does not exist here.

Why You Should Stay Away From Bitcoin & Cryptocurrencies

bitcoin-495994_640-425x300First of all let me explain the following: I’m not against cryptocurrencies, they are interesting inventions and revolutionary concepts from a technological point of view. The reason I write this article is to prevent people from starting to trade and losing much or even all their money, what mostly happens.

I know cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and those thousands of altcoins (alternative cryptocurrencies besides Bitcoin as the main one) are the hot shit right now, everyone talks about it and everyone tries to make a profit with it, all right with that. However, I do not invest in cryptocurrencies because I know a thousand other ways and use them to build wealth …

How to learn from scary (successful) people to invest and create your own real wealth

If you want to invest in one thing then get an overview first.

Look how the other really successful ones are doing and just try to copy that.

You should try to build on the success of others. So you can easily gain experience and keep the risk low.

Just look at the most successful investors and learn.

Like the author of the famous trading book Investment Punk, who started out as a Harvard graduate and investment banker, and now almost as a Youtube star with his own online business school:

“Digital Literacy … know the things of the New Econemy. Otherwise you make financial mistake # 5 ”
Why hard work always pays off and why gamers and players always run out of money

Second reason why I do not invest in cryptocurrencies, cryptocurrencies are not a recognizable skill for me.

Compared to online marketing, what you can learn hard, what you can do very well for almost any area and more importantly what you have the rest of your life.

You get the opportunity to build a new business again and again and to design according to your wishes and circumstances.

By contrast, cryptocurrencies are more like gambling. The most money is being made on platforms as mentioned on BBB and similar sites.

If you have no plan at all where you want to put your hard work, without any “guessing or gambling”, follow my tips. Otherwise go Youtube channels like that one and get bankrupt. They show you the best and fastest way to lose your money by investing in just any shirtcoins, that will die in thenear future and the people who take your money are the few winners in those zero sum games.

Even in the current crisis people invest a lot of money in crypto currencies, which you can read at versionfinal.com.ve. People should be more careful!

Where Focus Goes – Energy Flows

But I can tell you lots of business tips like about about Drop Shipping, Shopify and a cool 30-day Ecommerce Challenge that you can see through completely as a beginner, without any prior knowledge.

How do you manage to make 15 Euro from 1 Euro just with this one chance and the right focus

Do not run after every chance …

You have to find a thing that you can master.

There are just too many ways to make money online that are better than gambling. But still many people start to invest in BTC and other cryptocurrencies, as you can read at 800noticias.

If you know like me that you can get up to 15 euros in online marketing with 1 Euro invested, this is so much more value for me than inverstieren in cryptos, simply because I design my own business and it in the hand have.

Focus on the things you can do and stay consistent. “Where focus goes, energy flows.”

At the same time, if you see a chance and have nothing of your own, you should not do your own business or anything like that. Do not be too skeptical focus on one thing .. start. JUST DO IT!
